24th August Progression in my mask

i think i have done quite alot of progression on my mask 8)
In class we used plaster bandage to cover the whole of our masks to create a stonger base. We had to wet the bandgae and smoothly cover it on our mask. I put 2 or 3 layers of this plaster bandage on my mask. (:
also, in class we have worked on putting texture on our masks using modelling paste, to give it a real effect and make it look better and realistic. we learnt that all the hairs or fur on an animal and even on humans, that it always goes out from your face outwards. I used this technique on my mask's head, though i did not use texture on my mask's horns as i didnt think deer have fur on their horns. For the horns i used the modelling paste and i smoothed it out on the horns so that when it will dry it will look nice and smooth and will be easier to paint.
For homework, we had to draw the final design of our masks and what we want it to look like using the oclours we also wanted to use. I'm using colourful colours all over my mask that match the personality of the animals that are involved in my mask.
I'm hoping that i will start to paint my mask next week :D

over and out!
